Hey Becky,

Thanks for inviting me as a friend. I am hoping to meet many inspiring friends here.

I mistakenly left the following on Jonathan's page because I did not know what I was doing...

I agree with you Becky. My oldest son says that churches are too much like clubs. People sometimes meet there but relationships bult there are not always so good. It is first about God, and He is everywhere. He sees everything even when we wish He didn't. Personally I am tired of the denomination barriers that keep "Christians" apart. I am of the opinion that not one man made denomination has everything right, most have lots of things wrong. It would be better if we would just study together and learn what God has to say instead of following man's creeds.

God bless you,
Kalvin

Todays Bible Verse

November 03, 2007

The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the
brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from
darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor
and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who m

1 Corinthians 12:30
30Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?

I was always under the impression when Paul spoke these words he was

saying that not all speak with tongues.

I believe we all are offered all the gifts, including the gift of healing and prophesying, but not all use them, or they just leave them wrapped up and

never open the presents, so to speak. I believe that Paul is saying here that

Please God, Not Man

People are so intent on worrying about how they dress, being cool, going with the IN crowd,
and fitting in with what society dictates is right. But what society thinks isn't going to matter
when you die. No matter how much or how little money you have or how cool or uncool you
are, you're still going to end up in a six by two square hole in the ground. And then it's too
late to change your mind about who you love the most.

The first commandment is to love

Putting God First In Your Business

We're always hearing about pyramid schemes and ponzais and
people cheating and hacking their way to riches with no concern
about how it affects others. We know this isn't the way it should
be but how do we fight back? Even the so called "Christian
Business" groups are often not what they seem.
People use the label of Christianity to lure people into their get
rich quick schemes all the time.

When a business is run with Godly principals there is

Calm in the Midst of the Storm

I can see this as just as if it were happening before my eyes. The disciples are out fishing and Jesus has fallen asleep in the lower part of the ship and the waves start to rush over the sides and the sky turns dark and lightening strikes, and the thunder crashes loudly. The disciples start to be afraid. Their first thought is that the ship will sink and they will all be thrown overboard and drown.

So they rush to Jesus and scream..Master! We're all going to die!

I can just h… Continue
