LIVING NEXT DOOR TO TRUTH

Naboth had a vineyard. The vineyard (a type of truth) was next to the King's palace. It's not enough to live next to truth; you need to live in it. Ahab wanted to make the vineyard a garden of herbs but Naboth wanted it to remain as his vineyard. Ahab went so far as to offer him money. Truth is not for sale.

Naboth said that he could not sell the inheritance of his father to Ahab. An inheritance is very important. It defined who you were. Lose your inheritance, lose your blessing. That's exactly what happened to Ahab. He lost focus in what was important because he thought he could just buy truth and use it however he wanted.

Ahab could not eat because Naboth would not sell. He told his wicked wife Jezebel and she told him to arise and be happy for she would give him Naboth's vineyard.

What!!!!! Jezebel had no right to take the vineyard. It was not hers. She was a type of satan. He comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Be careful, there are people who would love to take your stuff and call it theirs. They want your inheritance, they want your truth and they want your hide. But the truth of the word of God is not for sale. No bargains, no breaks, truth is not for sale at any price.

The devil will stop at no price to destroy the truth. The enemy will do just the opposite to get you. The vineyard represented the truth and Jezzebel told a lie to kill Naboth. Then Ahab wanted the vineyard to make a herb garden out of it. Steal, kill, and destroy truth. The worst part of all is that the enemy wants to put a lot of good tasting herbs in to make it taste good. There should be no room for compromise in the truth of God. Living next to truth is like having no truth at all.

The sons of Belial were men paid to lie. If you are going to stand for truth, you better be ready for lies. The devil wants to steal your vineyard and take your truth, but greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world. Truth is not for sale. It's very dangerous to take possession of something that is not yours. Naboth was killed and Ahab took possession of truth because someone lied. Liars cannot hold truth. They will be found.

God used Elijah to tell Ahab he had seen the evil that was done. Repentance is a must today. If you are living next door to truth and trying to possess it . Repent. You cannot possess truth. Truth is a person. Jesus said, I am the Truth. Let Truth possess you.

In Genesis 2 & 3, God made man in His likeness after His image and breathed in him the breath of life. Man became a living soul. God put man in the garden of Eden to dress it and keep it. God made the garden and in it what He wanted. Adam's job was to keep it.

Keep your guard up. Satan is very subtil. He will walk right into truth and twist it and make the truth a lie. He told Adam & Eve that they would be like God knowing good and evil. He was not supposed to be in that garden. Adam should not have allowed him there to begin. We are letting too many things in our garden. We need to make sure that false doctrines do not grow up along side truth. If so, it will poison our gardens. Man lost his vineyard and relationship with God when he decided to accept knowledge instead of truth. If you think there are other things more important than church or truth, you may have already sold your vineyard. Living next to truth is like having no truth at all.

John 15: 1-11 says that Jesus is the True Vine. If we do not bear fruit, He will purge us so we will be fruitful. We are clean through the words He speaks to us. We are to bear fruit so we can ask of God and He will give it. Some of our vines need to be plucked out and thrown into the fire so we can produce and be what God wants us to be. God wants to give us joy. But you cannot have joy living next to truth, you must abide or live in truth.
